Crossley carpets are woven and then treated with Stainmaster® stain and soil protection. A treated Stainmaster® carpet uses a repel and release technology that reduces the ability of soil to penetrate the carpet fiber and allows most food and beverage stains to be easily removed during cleaning. In testing, carpets treated with Stainmaster® stay up to 30 percent cleaner and last 50 percent longer. As a result Crossley carpets offer superior cleaning and maintenance properties due to the Stainmaster® treatment.

Cossley carpets are woven using solution dyed nylon. In the manufacturing of solution dyed nylon the colour pigments are injected into the liquid melt before it is extruded as fibre. This means that the colour goes through the entire fibre and becomes a permanent part of the molecular structure. As a result the colour cannot be washed or bleached off. This also produces colours of exceptional depth and clarity and provides for unsurpassed colourfastness. Since the colour is locked into the fibre, common stains can be removed without damaging the carpet. (and the fibre can stand up to aggressive cleaning)
